Delete your account & data
Last updated: July 6, 2026
Klaro Ledger ("the app"), published by Klaro Pte. Ltd., is designed to be private and local-first. Most of your data never leaves your device, and you can delete everything yourself. This page explains how — including any data associated with the optional Google sign-in and Shared Spaces.
Your on-device data
Your Personal ledger — transactions, income, expenses, savings, goals, budgets, recurring rules, cards & accounts and balances, categories, notes, and settings — is stored only on your device. To erase it:
- In the app, open Settings → Delete all data to wipe it immediately, or
- Uninstall the app.
We never receive a copy of your Personal ledger, so there is nothing on our side to delete for it.
Shared Spaces data (on our relay)
If you used Shared Spaces, some data associated with your Google account is held on our sync relay: your Google account identifier and email (used to sign you in and manage membership), your membership and role in each space, the space's name, and the end-to-end-encrypted contents of the space (which we cannot read). To delete it:
- In the app, open a space's Manage screen and choose Leave to remove your membership, or, if you created the space, Delete to remove the entire space and its encrypted contents from our relay.
- To fully erase everything tied to your account — including your Google identifier and any subscription/entitlement record — email us (see below) from the Google account you used, and we will delete it.
Request full deletion
Email [email protected] from the email address associated with your account, with the subject "Delete my account and data". We will verify the request and delete the associated data from our relay within 30 days, and confirm when it is done. There is no charge.
What is deleted, and what may be kept
We delete your Google account identifier and email, your space memberships, and any encrypted space contents we hold. We keep no other personal data about you. We may retain minimal records where the law requires (for example, limited transaction records related to a purchase). Payments are processed by the Google Play Store, and any billing records held by Google are subject to Google's own policies and are outside our control. Deleting your data does not automatically cancel a subscription — manage or cancel that in your Google Play account.
